Manchester-based DJ and artist Bollibubble is carving out a sound that’s as unapologetic as it is euphoric. With Nigerian roots and a passion for building inclusive spaces, Bola (they/them) has quickly become one of the most exciting names emerging from the city’s underground. Their sets blur joy, sexiness, and intimacy - inviting dance floors into a world where individuality is celebrated and energy flows freely.

From Curation to Creation

Before stepping behind the decks, Bola was already shaping Manchester’s club scene as a music curator for Wyn n Sin, the queer African rave they help run. That role sparked a deeper passion for sound and community, eventually leading them to train as a DJ at Reform Radio, where they refined the craft that would become their calling card.

“My journey as a DJ started first as a music curator for Wyn n Sin… This eventually led to me going to DJ school at Reform Radio.”

For Bola, raving was never just about the music - it was about belonging.

“Apart from dancing, raves were the first place I felt celebrated for being my complete self.”

Joyful, Euphoric, Sexy

When asked to describe their sound in three words, Bola doesn’t hesitate: joyful, euphoric, sexy. Their DJ sets are more than tracklists - they are emotional journeys, designed to transport listeners into their world while helping them reconnect with their own bodies.

“I love transporting people into my world through music and dance while helping them connect to their own bodies.”

Each performance is charged with warmth and release, aiming for something bigger than the sum of its beats. As Bola puts it:

“I want people to feel loved, celebrated, happy — and a little horny when they experience my sets.”

Raves as Safe Spaces

Bollibubbles’ work is deeply tied to the culture of queer nightlife. In a world where freedom of expression isn’t always guaranteed, their sets carve out spaces where people can feel affirmed and uplifted. Music becomes both resistance and release, a chance to gather and celebrate without compromise.

That connection to community drives every mix - bridging Nigerian roots, Manchester’s underground, and the global language of rave culture. Whether in an intimate club setting or on a larger stage, Bollibubbles channels an energy that invites people to lose themselves while finding connection with others.

Bola’s entry into music wasn’t through DJing straight away. Their first role was behind the scenes, as a curator for Wyn n Sin, a queer African rave in Manchester. That work of building spaces for others to shine gave them the foundation for what would come next.

This ethos was on full display during INTROE SONIC x Club Are, where Bollibubbles brought their radiant sound to one of London’s most exciting nightlife platforms. The set captured everything they stand for: joy, liberation, and the unifying power of music.

Bollibubbles isn’t just DJing - they’re creating spaces of love, connection, and release. In their own words, it’s about helping people feel celebrated, body and soul. INTROE is proud to spotlight them as part of our ongoing mission to amplify the voices shaping tomorrow’s culture.
